ABOUT THE TOUR
Tour Description
Perfect opportunity at the Crocodile Tour on the Tarcoles River. Travel upstream and witness these ancient giants in their territory. During the tour get your camera prepared to capture other wildlife, birds, and nature. On your journey to Jaco from San Jose, you will come to the famous Tarcoles bridge where you will always have people on the side looking down at these beasts. Nothing better though than taking the tour up the river and coming close to these massive crocs. The Crocodile Tour normally runs in the morning and afternoon, based on the tide.
What to bring
We recommend that you bring your camera as there is no better tour to do so, comfortable sitting on the riverboat. There is great chances of spotting many different bird types, such as: Tiger Herons, Scarlet Macaws, Hawks, White Ibis, Toucans, Spoonbills, and much more. Beyond the camera we recommend comfortable clothes, and the use of a hat and sunscreen are never a bad idea when spending the time in the Costa Rican sun!
Transportation details
With your choice of transportation or if you’d like to arrive yourself. Pickup from your local hotel here in Jaco / Herradura will be around [9:00am / 1:00pm]. Times may change depending on the seasons and tide, you will be notified if so. Have your own vehicle and would like to drive you must arrive to Tarcoles (Provided directions) before [9:45am / 2:45pm] for checkin. Distance from Jaco is roughly 25 minute drive
Make it a combo
The Crocodile Tour is a perfect option for creating your own combo. Since the tour is short, and have multiple starting times, this makes it easy to join to another tour and possibly explore both on the same day or split into multiple days. Creating your own combo tour package is the best way to save money and experience more! We have our own Tour Packages pre-made, but if your looking for something more personal let us know and we’ll design something unique!
Requirements
RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS
1) A Deposit of $25.00 per person will reserve your tour, the balance will be paid upon arrival.
2) Tour offers pricing with pickup or without pickup, select accordingly.
3) Please add your hotel name & room number for pickup details if transportation is needed.
4) Transportation from Jaco / Herradura is Included in the price.
5) Hotel Pickup times are: 9:00-9:10am / 1:00-1:10pm.
6) Times may change deeding on season & tide.
7) Arriving direct times are: 9:45am / 1:45pm (Unless noted otherwise)
CANCELLATION POLICY
1) Online reservations offer 5 days before the tour starts for a full refund, with no refunds after that.
2) No-Show or late arrivals, there will be no refunds, and the deposit will be lost.
